MI Thermocouple Production Line

We design and build machinery for each stage of MI (mineral-insulated) thermocouple production. Each machine can be supplied individually, or the full range can be supplied as a complete line. The typical sequence is drilling, micro-blasting, welding, and ultrasonic stripping.

MI thermocouple production line flow Drilling, then micro-blasting, then welding, then ultrasonic stripping. Drilling MgO removal & conductor exposure Micro-blasting Cleaning before welding Welding CD conductor, then TIG sheath Ultrasonic stripping Cold end, for termination

1. Drilling

Removal of MgO insulation and exposure of the conductors, using either the Automated (Siemens PLC) or Manual drilling machine. Cable range: 1.0-8.0 mm.

2. Micro-blasting

The MicroBlaster removes MgO from the hot junction after drilling, preparing the cable for capacitor discharge welding. Dual 1-litre media tanks.

3. Welding

The TPE-WM100 handles both welding operations on one workstation: capacitance discharge (CD) for the hot junction conductor weld, and TIG for the hermetic sheath closure. Cable range: 0.5-8.0 mm.

4. Ultrasonic stripping

At the cold end, the ultrasonic stripping machine removes the cable sheathing to expose the internal conductors for termination and potting. 400 W generator, 1.0-8.0 mm cable.
