Ultrasonic Stripping Overview
A compact, production-ready ultrasonic stripping system that removes the cold section of mineral-insulated (MI) cable sheathing, exposing the internal conductors for termination and potting. The MI Stripping Machine uses high-frequency ultrasonic energy to break down densely compacted MgO insulation without damaging the cable sheath or conductors.
Controlled bursts of ultrasonic energy are transmitted through the sheath wall, returning the MgO to a powder state so the sheath can be pulled clear. Ultrasonic power delivery is digitally generated and controlled, giving consistent amplitude and frequency stability.
